In Þingvellir national park, among thirty-three other lava caves that have been discovered, Litli-björn – Vörðuhellir is the longest of them all at over 550 meters (1815 feet) long. It was originally thought that Litli Björn and Vörðuhellir where two different caves. It has since been discovered that there is a tunnel connecting the two caves making it just one cave.
A majority of this cave has retained its original appearance showcasing the many beautiful features of such lava tunnels.
